Episode 8- Megh Knappenberger on Creativity, Judgment, and Being a Weirdo

Today on the show we have Megh Knappenberger, who is a graphic designer turned painter who also happens to be one of my clients in the Inner Circle at Work with Soul. She is refreshing because she’s down-to-earth, and honest about herself and the process, and is the type of woman you want to sit and have a cold beer with.

About Megh:

Megh Knappenberger is an artist in Overland Park, KS creating vigorously textured paintings of all-things Midwest wild and free. She is lover of the woods in Missouri and Kansas and draws inspiration for her loose mark-making and subject matters from the outdoors. Megh is a former graphic designer, a lifelong entrepreneur, a mama bear and wife.

In this episode, Megh shares:

  • 4:50 Morning practices and allowing them to evolve with you

  • 26:00 A step by step process on how to work with your feelings and fears that show up around Creation (or anything!).

  • 41:00 How creativity is often about being okay with being a total weirdo, and how to deal with potential judgment from yourself and others around being weird.
